Ingrown Nails

    Symptoms
Ingrown nails may cause alot of pain. The pain is often worse while walking or in closed shoes. An ingrown nail may also lead to infection, inflammation, and more serious complications.
    Treatment
If the nail isn't infected, we may trim the corner of it to help relieve your symptoms. We may need to remove one side of your nail back to the cuticle. The base of the nail is then treated with a chemical to keep the ingrown part from growing back. To prevent pain, a local anaesthetic could be used in these advanced procedures and carry over a 95% success rate.

"Our surgical techniques and procedures are guaranteed to provide the best possible outcomes with the very least pain!!"

The surgical solution, if required, provides a long term solution to this painful reoccurring problem.

"I wish to thank you for the excellent result you achieved with the surgical removal of my toenail. I anticipated the procedure would be painful and that I would be off my feet for some time. I am pleased this was not the case; the pain was minimal and my activities have not been hindered to any significant degree, so thank you again for the care you showed."

Verrucae Pedis

We have a number of choices for treating verrucae pedis. The best treatment depends on such things as the size, location and duration of the verrucae. Surgery to completely remove the verrucae in one visit is an attractive option. This involves local anaesthetic to numb the area to remove the verrucae whole. The healing time is 2-4 weeks, depending on it's size. Not all verrucae can be removed surgically.

Stages of removal of verruca
Nitric acid removal of a single verucca. The healing process is relatively quick and very effective.

"...I had a verruca in my foot that was really painful when I ran. So Mum took me to visit the Podiatrist. His name was Andrew. He explained to me how he would cut it out. He drew me a picture...

...Andrew did a really great job and I'm glad I came to him. It did hurt but I'm really glad it's gone now. Thank you for looking after me so well.
